Here We Go

Here We Go

Kerala is on the SE tip of India
Tomorrow John and I head out an our adventure to India. It has been interesting trip to get us just to this point. Our first hang-up on whether to go or not was the travel itself. About 24 hours of straight travel broken into three flights. A couple of the legs were  12 and 14 hours. Once we got over the anxiety of that kind of travel we decided to go.

The next anxiety builder, and probably the biggest anxiety builder, was speaking. All of our messages were going to be done with the translator. For John that meant cutting his normal 50 minute messages (that usually go to an hour more) down to about 30 minutes or so to account for the time of translation. For me just trying to deliver a message having to wait every three or four sentences for the translator to do his job was all the anxiety I could ever want!

Well, I think we've come to terms with our anxieties and ready to go.

So tomorrow we take off from Rochester and fly JFK where we catch the longest leg of the trip over to Dubai and then after changing planes another flight to Kochi in India which is just south of Emakulam on the Kerala District Map above. We will arrive at about 3:20 in the morning where someone will meet us from the ministry and we take the drive of we’re not sure how long to Kerala Baptist Bible College & Seminary near Kangazha, Kottayam, Kerala, India!
